What is MedNAIS?

MedNAIS Preanalytical Phase Analyzer is used for identification of patients’ and samples’ IDs in medical and non-medical institutions, labs, sample collection points, GPs or at patients‘ homes.

MedNAIS smartwatch is designed to be used by medical nurses. This is an ergonomic «hands-free» solution for real time identification of a sample collection and a preanalytical phase smart assistant which is based on Joint EFLM-COLABIOCLI Recommendation for venous blood sampling.

Each scan procedure is accompanied by exact date and time stamp that could be used as the most accurate timestamp of the sample collection. MedNAIS smart assistant reminds to follow the guidelines of preanalytical phase to achieve the best practices in phlebotomy.

Software

MedNAIS software is an Android application implementing HL7 FHIR Release 3 protocol for communication with medical infomational systems.

MedNAIS is under heavy development, so there is no guaranties the current implementation would be the same in future. Follow this repo to track development status.
